Margaret McMorrow Gallagher was born on St. Patrick’s Day 1929 in Augharrow, Tullaghan, Co. Leitrim.

A hardoworking housewife, mother of twelve and occasional poet, she expressed her love of Ireland, her faith, her losses and her humour in these beautifully written poems.

They are a snapshot into the life and times of a woman in Ireland from the 1940’s onwards.
