Frank Shouldice of Ballaghaderreen was a marksman at North King Street for the Irish Volunteers during the 1916 Easter Rising.
He never told his own story! His grandson and namesake set about putting the pieces together . . . which led to the book “Grandpa The Sniper”
We will be hosting the author on Friday evening (11th March) at 5pm in Liber for a very special intimate event. Frank Shouldice will trace the background to the story his grandfather never told . . .
This is a free event and all are welcome to attend.
